For a Well-balanced, Nutritious Diet

  • Source as much organic food as possible.

    • Find out what foods you are allergic to and avoid them. Our therapists will be able to assist you. Signs of allergic reaction are bloating, flatulence, constipation, diarrhoea, indigestion.
    • Do not eat another mouthful when you are feeling satisfied.
    • The quantity of dairy products consumed should be reduced, especially milk. Find a source of organic dairy, it is hormone-free, puss-free and antibiotic-free.     • Reduce wheat and bread, cakes and biscuits at every opportunity. Substitute with rye, rice, millet, maltabela, oats and maize.
    • Meat is not good or bad. It depends on your blood type. Ask Weleda Pharmacy for a blood group diet sheet. Try always to use organic options. Weleda can do blood group testing.
    • Use cold pressed extra virgin olive oil. Put it on to your food AFTER cooking.
    • Butter or Grape seed oil are the best sources of fat to cook with as they change least during heating. Organic butter is best as it is hormone free. Refined sunflower oils and margarines should be banned.
    • Do not cook in aluminium pots. Teflon pans are not good either. Use ceramic, glass or cast-iron pots only. Do not store food in plastic containers. Avoid glad wrap as these have an estrogenic effect.
    • Use herbal salts instead of refined salts.
    • Last but not least, alcohol is a killer! Use very sparingly, if at all.
